Strike Anchors (Spike-type)
Aerosmith Spike-style strike anchors are friction anchors that come with button (round) and countersunk (flat) heads. They also come in forming types, rod hanging types, and tie-wire types. They are designed for use in poured concrete.
The Spike-Style anchor is a one-piece, vibration resistant anchor for use in concrete, block, brick, and/or stone. Several head styles and anchor materials are available. Using a special manufacturing process, the spike-style anchor is formed with a slight bend at the working end of the anchor to create an expansion mechanism. This mechanism is activated as the anchor is driven into the drilled hole and creates a spring type compression force against the walls of the hole. Once seated at the required embedment, residual spring force developed in the expansion mechanism provides three compression forces at three distinct levels at the bottom of the anchor hole. There are overhead versions of this anchor available.
