Lag Shields
A Lag Shield is used in combination with a lag screw to enable the lag to anchor into concrete. Lag shields are made of Zamak alloy. They are two parts and when the lag screw is driven into the shield, it expands, splitting apart, resulting in a tight wedge in the concrete. They come in both short and long versions depending on the requirements of the application and the length of the bolt. Lag Shields are not recommended for use in overhead applications.
