Wood Screws
Wood screw are not hardened. They are fully threaded when under one inch in length and threaded approximately ⅔ of the screw length (even short sizes may be only ⅔ thread, though 1” and shorter may also be found fully threaded which is not to specification) and has a tapered shank. They always have single-lead coarse symmetrical threads. They are either full-bodied (cut threads) or rolled threads. There are no metric woods screws, and the metric dimensions are converted to the nearest inch size.
