Plow Bolts were originally named due to their early use in the manufacture of plows. Today plow bolts are used on many types of heavy construction equipment. Plow bolts are typically used to attach the plow share (blade) to the frame and allow earth to pass over their heads without obstruction to the moldboard. They are also used to fasten the blade to bulldozers and motor graders. Plow bolts come in steel in several grades and a few sizes are available in stainless. Some plow bolts are perfectly flat on the head, others may have a slight dome.
