Lag Screws
Lag screws (also called Lag Bolts) are often the correct choice for fastening lumber that will be subjected to great force or heavy loads. Inserted into pilot holes, lag screws’ extended length, wide girth, and sharp threads give them the strength they need to do the job. These are often called coach screws outside the United States. There are no metric lag bolts. Metric dimensions are converted to the nearest inch size.
