Internal/External  tooth lock washers are stamped parts designed to reduce the loosening of bolts and screws from their mating assembly. The spring tension of these washers' teeth prevents loosening by creating pressure against a fastener's threads and its mating part. They are available in steel, stainless, brass, bronze, and many other metals. They are available in standard and metric sizes. Internal/External refers to the teeth being on the inside and the outside. This version is not as popular as the external where the teeth are located on the outside.
