Hex Machine Bolts
Hex machine bolts come in many more sizes than Hex Cap Screws but do not have the washer face under the head. Standard thread length is a minimum of twice the diameter plus 1/4" of an inch (or 1/2" if over 6" long). If you need them threaded all the way, that's called a TAP BOLT. Sometimes you will see a mention of undersized body which means the threads were rolled up from undersized wire instead of cut into standard wire. Many long machine bolts come with 4" or 6" of thread. These parts are commonly available in many grades of steel (grades 307A, 307B, 2, 5, 8).
