Hammer-Drive Anchors

Hammer-Drive Anchors are also known as Drive-Nails. They come with either steel or stainless steel nails assembled into a Zamak(R) shell. A Hammer Drive Anchor is a light-duty anchor which is mostly used to fasten plywood or lumber to concrete. These anchors are very simple to use. They have a lip over the head making it compatible with holes that may have accidentally been driven too far into the material. To install one of these anchors, drill a hole through both materials, set the anchor into the hole, and then hit the exposed pin with a hammer. The pin is driven down through the middle of the fastener pushing both sides out in a wedge fashion holding the fastener in place. There are versions of this that have a screw instead of a nail so they can be removed and re-fastened. (Nylon versions work the same only the body is plastic.)
