Drywall Screws
Drywall screws are specifically designed to attach drywall to the metal studs in framing work. In reality, they are a fantastic all-purpose screw. They are most commonly seen as bugle Phillips heads with a coarse or fine thread. They come zinc/clear (silver), zinc/yellow, and black/grey phosphate. Common drives are Phillips, Square, Six-Lobe [Torx(R).] There are many other types of drywall screws but this is what is most commonly referred to. (Drywall screws are also available in stainless but those are, ironically, almost never used in drywall). Drywall screws should not be confused with deck screws which are an entirely different animal.
