Conduit Nuts (often called Conduit lock nuts) are used to secure threaded conduits or connectors to electrical junction boxes or enclosures in wet locations. The conduit nut allows standard junction boxes to be used with unthreaded conduit knockout openings in wet locations. Serrated teeth on the nut bite into the box and enclosure to prevent vibratory loosening of the connection. Conduit nuts come in Zamak Alloy, Stainless, Brass, and Aluminum.
