Concrete Screw Drill Bits
Drill bits that can drill through concrete, brick, stone, or block are called masonry bits. Drill bits with a tungsten carbide tip are the strongest and are the recommended type for hammer drills because they are more efficient and penetrate hard surfaces better and faster.
The tip of a masonry drill bit is larger in diameter than the shaft below allowing the dust created to move freely instead of contributing to the frictional forces. Drilling at a lower speed is more efficient for drilling through concrete, plus it prevents the bit from overheating. Drill bits come in a range of standard lengths and cutting tips. For concrete screws, it's the standard tip. But there are four-cutter heads which can cut through rebar.
These are two cutter straight shank bits (with a tang at the bottom), but we also have SDS+, SDS-Max, Spline, and Hex shank drill bits as well. Ask your sales representative.
Always use compressed air or an air-bulb to blow dust out of a any hole before inserting any fastener into a hole!
